The Spirit world vs. the Physical World

Synopsis of Bible Study 9/15/10

Foundation:

Scripture reveals the existence of two worlds. They are the Spiritual World and Physical World. Now we will refer to the Physical World as the Natural World. Much of what we call miracles or strange phenonemums can be explained when we understand the relation of the spirit world to the physical world. Many people are unaware of the fact that there are angels and demons existing in the spirit world and that they are actively concerned about the affairs of our lives in the physical world.  Why you are going on through your day, there is a spirit world full of angels and demons. Often, there is a war going on over your head. There are people that doubt that the spirit world exists and what it can do. The Sadducees denied and doubted the resurrection of Christ. Matthew 22:23 says 23The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him. Note that there are around 300 references found in the scriptures concerning angels and demons and their existence.

I.                   There is a difference between the Physical and Spiritual World

  1. There is a difference between the physical and spiritual world, just like there is a difference between animal life and plant life. The difference between the plant and animal life is that animals have conscious life. The difference between animal life and human life is that we have a living soul which dwells a spirit. In you dwells a soul that is eternal and we have the spirit of God that breaths into us life. We have the ruach of God or the breath of God inside of us. God blew himself into us and as a result we have a life.
  2. Because man is a living soul, the only way to relate to the spirit world is by the spirit. Your carnal nature can never relate to the spirit world. It will never make sense to you in the natural.
  3. There are two different laws that govern this world.
    1. There is a law of magnetism that counters magnetization in the physical world. The law of magnetism in the natural world counteracts the law of gravitation. The law of gravitation says, if you drop something, it is going to fall. The law of magnetism says it can prevent the fall. These two laws counter each other.
    2. In the spirit world there is a law of resurrection that counters the law of death. What you got to do is learn how to interpret your reality in the natural from a spiritual perspective. As a spiritual person, you can’t interpret your reality with natural laws. We must interpret our reality by applying spiritual laws to our natural situation.

                                          i.    Often what we call a miracle is a person’s inability to acquaint with the law. Ex– You can have a Pagan person living in the boondocks and if they were given a radio even during this time of technology, they might think it was miracle. It isn’t a miracle; they just haven’t been acquainted with certain laws meaning in this case, they have never seen a radio.

  1. On one occasion Jesus hears that Lazarus is sick. Jesus purposely allows him pass away. He tells the disciples that Lazarus was sleep. He tells them that he wanted to go and awake Lazarus from his sleep. The disciples are interpreting according to natural laws (him being sleep). Jesus was referring to his death when he told them this. He finally had to come straight out and say he was dead. Mary and Martha had an attitude when Jesus got there, because they are interrupting reality with natural laws. They said he has been dead for 4days. Jesus says he comes to apply a spiritual law to natural situation. Remember that Jesus is the resurrection. Those who are spiritual operate with spiritual laws. If you don’t, the natural laws will take over. Ex-Spiritually, you see tithing as a means to help you out of your situation, even if it looks like you don’t have enough money to do so. In the natural, you see that you have more bills than money coming in. We have to learn to bring the laws down. There are laws in the spiritual world that should supersede laws down here. Ex–
  2. Thou kingdom come thou will be done on earth as it is in heaven. When you are spiritual, you understand things natural people don’t understand. Everything you live by is spiritual and you can’t explain to carnal people what you are doing. Ex– In the natural, when you have 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread and there are 5000 people to feed, somebody’s not going to eat.

 

II.               The spirit world was created just like the natural world

  1. All things other than the God Head were created. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost were not created
  2. The Angelic Host, Celestial beings, Angelic beings, and even devils have a distinct order.
  3. 3.      The angelic hosts sung praises to God when he created the earth. When Job was wrestling with why God would let this stuff happen to him, God says in Job 38:4-7 4Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. 5Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? 6Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; 7When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? – This suggests that the celestial hosts were singing praises to God while the earth was being created.
  4. When were angels created?
    1. The Angels were created before creation.
    2. Angelic host were created above man. Hebrews 2:6-9 says 6But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him? 7Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: 8Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.9But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. – We are under the angels.
    3. What is the form of the angels?
      1. The angelic host is a spiritual order of beings. 1 Corinthians 15:40-43 says 40There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. 42So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: – You and I are sown in the earth at death just like a seed. We are sown in corruption here, but awaken in incorruption there. We are sown in dishonor here, but we wake up in glory. We are sown in weakness, but awaken in strength. We are sown one way and awaken another.
      2. You have a natural body and spirit body. 1 Corinthians 15:44 says 44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. – There is natural world and a spirit world. We try to approach the spirit world with our natural body. We expect the spirit world to bless our natural body, but the sprit is after the sprit. You look in the mirror and say it is you, but it really isn’t you. You are the person behind what you see. No matter how fine you think you are, there is a great equalizer. One day a preacher will say earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dirt to dirt over you. We are nothing more than well put together dirt, but this is not who we are. We are the spirit. People who are spiritual see your spirit. The reason you keep struggling is you keep chasing the natural. Ex – We hook up with somebody, because in the natural, we think they look good. When they start changing, we look for someone else that looks good. If you are spiritually connected, no matter how the person you hooked up with changes, you remain connected to who they are. The laws of this world say feed and dress your natural. Spiritual people go back to Adam. Adam said you are bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh. In other words, he saw what was on the outside first.
      3. Number of angels
        1. They are innumerable. Hebrews 12:22 says  22But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
        2. John tried to count them once. In Revelation 5:11 it says 11And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
        3. Do angels have wings?
          1. The answer is yes.

 

III.            Classes and ranks of the spirit world

  1. Angel means messenger. It designates an office, not a person.
  2. Types of Holy Angels
    1. Seraphim – Celestial being having 3 pairs of wings. They were signers calling attention to the holiness of God Isaiah 6:1-8 says 1In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 2Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 3And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. 4And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. 5Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. 6Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: 7And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. 8Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
    2. Cherubim – They have 2 pr wings, 4 faces. They were guardians of the throne.  Genesis 3:24 says 24So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. – A cherubim was placed at the entrance of the Garden of Eden. Ezekiel 1:4-25 says 4And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire. 5Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. 6And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings. 7And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass. 8And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings. 9Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward. 10As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle. 11Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies. 12And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went. 13As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning. 14And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning. 15Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces. 16The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel. 17When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went. 18As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four. 19And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up. 20Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels. 21When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels. 22And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.  23And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies. 24And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings. 25And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.
    3. Celestial Princes
      1. Lucifer -Satan, the son of morning. He was the most exalted of the angelic beings by creation and appointment. Lucifer didn’t start as the Devil, but he becomes the Devil. Ezekiel 28:12-13 says 12Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. 13Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. – He had all of these precious stones that covered his body. He had tabrets like pipes inside his body so when he talked, it came out musically. He was made for music. Music comes from the word amusement. This is why the devils main attack is through our music. We use music for amusement. Ezekiel 28:14-15 says 14Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. – God created Lucifer to be an angel until iniquity was found in him. Ezekiel 28:16 says 16By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. – God said he wasn’t having it. Ezekiel 28:17 says 17Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. – God cast Lucifer out of heaven.

Then Isaiah takes over with the story:  

Isaiah 14:12-13 says 12How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:Satan thought he would fill heaven with sin. Isaiah 14:14 says 14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. – Satan had begun to question God receiving all the glory. Isaiah 14:15-17 says 15Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 16They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;  17That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? – Lucifer/Satan was the angel that brought hell into the earth realm. He was originally over the music ministry in heaven, but he got prideful.

  1. Michael – This name means one who is like God. He is the only arch angel listed in scripture. Daniel 10:13 says 13But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Daniel 12:1 says 1And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
  2. Gabriel – Messenger for Lord. Daniel 8:16 says 16And I heard a man’s voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision., Daniel 9:21-27 says 21Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. 22And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding. 23At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision. 24Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.25Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. 26And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.  27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. – When God comes back, Gabriel will make the announcement. Jesus is going to come back based on spiritual laws. He left here on spiritual laws and will return the same way. Ex- One disciple said he would not believe Jesus died and rose until he saw the nail prints in his hand. When Jesus left, he left ascending. He defied the natural law of gravity. An angel says the same way you saw him leave, he is coming back. When you live spiritually, you live expecting him to come back breaking natural laws.
  3. Ministering spirits.
    1. God will send angels to minster to you. Hebrews 1:14 says 14Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
    2. Angels even came to minister to Jesus. Matthew 4:11 says 11Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him. -Often in great moments of crises, God will send ministering angels to you. It is time when you can’t really hear anything or anybody else. God will send a ministering spirit to remind you that he has your back.
    3. Satanic Kingdom
      1. Lucifer – Has many names. Adversary, prince of power of the air, the devil, wicked one, accuser, dragon, serpent, and etc… He has the many names, but he is the Devil.
      2. Fallen angels- 2 Peter 2:4 says 4For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; – When Lucifer had sinned, he convinced a 3rd of the angels to sin with him. They were cast down to the earth with Lucifer and they became demons. Demons will attack you in your sleep and in your dreams. You need to know when they are coming at you when you are unaware.
      3. 4 classes of demons and devils

Ephesians 6:12 says 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

  1. Principalities – Have to do with kingdoms.  Jeremiah 13:18 says 8Say unto the king and to the queen, Humble yourselves, sit down: for your principalities shall come down, even the crown of your glory.-This is a quest for dominion or authority. Satan is the god of this world who wants to set up dominion of this world or certain areas of your life. Ex-You often wonder why the demons are taking over this part of your life or neighborhood. It is because they want dominion over that certain area. The devil is after principalities. Even thought the prince has dominion or authority in this real, he is still under the dominion of the King our God. Colossians 2:9-10 9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: – You need to understand, the devil wants you to think he is in control, but God is really in control. Job will tell you if you need a witness. God gave Satan permission to mess with Job, but he could not mess with his soul.
  2. Powers – These are extensions of the princes.  Luke 10:18-19 says 18And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. 19Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. – Jesus was there when Satan got put out of heaven. And he says he saw Satan fall from heaven like lighting. In verse 19, he says he gave them power. Ex- Lighting is a power source like electricity. It can be interrupted like NES does, but still it is powerful. Jesus is saying you have enough power to interrupt that power. The angels of God want to minister to you from the inside out. They want to come at your spirit and work its way out so you would exude joy and confidence. Demons want to attack you from the outside in. This is why the word says greater is he that lives within you than he who is in the world. You have the power inside of you to interrupt things. If you don’t know you have this power, this is how you open yourself up to demonic possession
  3. Rulers of darkness – They are dedicated to ignorance. What the devil wants to do is prevent knowledge and revelation. 2 Corinthians 4:6 says 6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.-It is knowledge that brings us out of the darkness. Darkness represents ignorance. It represents not being in the know. If Satan can keep you in the darkness, you will miss the revelation. Without revelation, you will believe you will not have anything or be anything. Without revelation, you will sleep with and tip out with anyone.  When you go through some of your most painful moments; the demons will say to you, “Stay home. You don’t need to go to church today. You can deal with this yourself. ” Satan knows if you come and get revelation, you may end up realizing that all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord and are called according to his purpose. This is why the Sunday you miss is often turns out to be the Sunday you should have been there to get the word you need. Don’t let nothing stop you from getting that revelation. Get a tape, a DVD, a Mt Zion Anywhere. Whatever it takes.
  4. Spiritual wickedness in high places – Forces that major in the realms of the spiritual and attack your spiritual life. Spiritual wickedness in high places suggest that the greater you altitude, the more the game changes. The more you try to do good, the more the devil changes his attack. Paul says when I would do good, evil is on every hand.

He will attack:  

  1. Your music, Ephesians 5:19 says   19Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; – We are supposed to be singing hymns and spiritual songs.
  2. He attacks God’s will for your life. Colossians 1:9 says 9For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
  3. He will attack your love for the word.

People of God, there is an organized spirit world out there. We are taking your though boot camp these next 6wks, so you can recognize that all the cursing and stuff you are doing to your enemy is not how you deal with them. We are going to teach the power of intercession, praying in the Holy Ghost, learning the power of worship bringing the Kingdom of God into your situation. When you show up, demons ought to tremble.

Synopsis of Sermon 9/12/10

Isaiah 58:6-8 says 6Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? 7Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? 8Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy reward. – Reward in verse 8 means the glory of God will have our back. Know that God has our back.

There are times in all of our lives where crises will push us beyond ritual and formality. If you keep living, there will be moments where formality and fashion just won’t do. You would be amazed at how many people have gotten comfortable moving through the motions not realizing that their situation will never change until they move to a place of deeper commitment and authenticity in their response to God. People are frustrated because they pray and pray and they fast and they fast, but nothing ever happens. The truth is, if your motive is not right, there will be no transformative power in what you do. You can run, shout, have oil put on you, but nothing will happen unless your motives are sincere. This is what the people in text did. They fasted but their lifestyle wasn’t in line with what God would have them to be. They looked on the outside like they were going through what was required by the Lord, yet God questioned their motives. You would be surprised to know that even today, people go through the acts of religious recourse and rituals, but the truth is they do this to try and manipulate God. They want God to do what they want him to do. They say to themselves, “Look at what we are doing.” We need to know that God doesn’t look out at our outside, because he knows what is on the inside of us. Today this message is being preached, because somebody is tired of business as usual. They are tired of coming, just to find that nothing is happening in their life. There are people reading this today that sense that God is releasing them from disingenuous people. God says in this season he is trying to push us to a place that is closer. You will be closer to him like never before. We have gotten to a point in our lives where we don’t have time to play games or play church or even be in your clique. We are after a deeper reality or a greater revelation of who God is in our life. We are tired of church politics and we just want a real authentic experience with God. We are willing to get this by any means necessary. Whatever we got to let go of and whoever you got to cut lose, it’s cool, because today God is about to rearrange somebody’s circumstances to push us closer to him like never before. God is getting ready to deliver us from some areas. Some areas we have been comfortable with for years, but God is getting ready to uproot some things out of you and move you in a deeper place in him. We are coming out of this redundant ritual of religion. We are coming out of this spiritual holding pattern where we never get a healing. We are tired of being in the same mess year after year and we want something deeper.

The first thing we have to come out of is Spiritual Oppression

I. Spiritual Oppression

Isaiah 58:6 says 6Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

  1. Vs. 6 says God has seen them fast, but he says they are not doing it the way we asked them to. They are doing it externally, but there is something missing in how they are doing it. They were doing it like is shown in 2 Timothy 3:5 where it says 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.- In other words, they were fasting, but they were not doing the fast the way God wanted.
  2. Fasting is abstaining so God can sustain us. Ex- When we deny our bodies of food, we are putting our flesh into submission
  3. 3 types of fasts
    1. Partial Fast – This is when you deny yourself of certain foods, but not all foods. This is the type of fast that Daniel went on found in Daniel 10.
    2. Normal Fast – This is when you deny yourself of food, but you drink water. This is the type of fast that Jesus went on in the wilderness for 40 days.
    3. Absolute fast – This is when you deny yourself of both food and water. Paul on the Damascus road went on an absolute fast.
    4. In the text they were fasting, but they did not have the faith to match the fast. Why go through the motion and not believe God for what you are fasting for. When you do this, you are putting limitations on God. When you do this, you believe God can do this over here, but not over there. You believe God can give you a job, but not heal your body for example. You got to believe God for all of it. If it can be broke, God can fix it. If you can have it, God can heal it. If you can owe it, God can pay it. There is nothing impossible for God. No need to fast if you don’t think can do it!
    5. God is saying to them and us, he is trying to change stuff in us. We want a situational change, but God wants to change things inside of us. God wants to lose the bands wickedness. Wickedness is when our sin sets in. Sin is to miss the mark, Iniquity means we have a tendency to lean towards it, Trespass is to know we shouldn’t do it, but we do it anyway. We run over and run back. Wickedness is when you have an address there. You just stay there and wallow in it. We all got areas that we have decided we can live with (gotten wicked), but God has the power to release us from it. Sometimes we don’t get a breakthrough, because we are comfortable in our wickedness.
    6. God says he wants to undo our heavy burdens. Heavy burdens are those heavy things we carry around. It could be self esteem, loss of loved ones, or financial burdens. Ex- You would be surprised to know the people that come into church carrying heavy burdens. It is not God’s desire, for us to come and carry these burdens around heavy burdens. Because of your iniquity, causes you to have burdens. Burdens make you oppressed. Ex-It is like a picture of a clay pot that is under so much pressure, it is cracking. It is about to break. People wonder if you will break today. They wonder if they say something to you, will they tip over. It is not God’s will for you to be oppressed. God’s desire is to set us free.
    7. Because of the wickedness, heavy burdens, and oppression, we now have a yoke. This is much like the yoke an ox or mule wears so that they can be controlled and led where the owner wants them to go. Because of our yoke (caused by our ability to deal with our iniquity), we are being controlled by our circumstances and our emotions are being controlled by the enemy. Isaiah 10:27 says 27And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.- We have come to tell you that God’s anointing has come to destroy the yoke off your neck. Your days of being controlled are over. God said it is time to come out of this spiritual oppression.
    8. Verse 6 says that bands tie have tied us up. Isaiah 58:6 says – 6Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? – You have been tied in wickedness, but God wants to undo them. We must participate in the process of taking this yoke off. Hebrews 12:1 says 1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, – Like the cloud of witness will testify, we are coming out of oppression and not being controlled by our situation. We are not going to be manipulated and let the yoke guide us again. We are going to wake up giving God the glory. Nothing is going to tell us how to feel, but the presence and the power of God.

II. We are coming out of Financial Suppression

Isaiah 58:7 says 7Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

  1. Verse 7 says don’t you know it was God’s will for you to bless the poor and to be in a position where you can invite the homeless to your house? We ought to all want to know what it feels like to be able to drive up to a bus stop and see a woman with her 3 kids and no car and be in a position that we can give her our car. We live in such a narcissistic or self absorbed world, we think it is always about us. God wants to change our economic situation, but he won’t if you are not mature enough to understand why he did. God doesn’t want us to serve him all our life and still be in lack. We are in church all day shouting and then we go home and can’t pay our rent. There is something wrong with this picture.
  2. God doesn’t want us in lack. A large part of coming out of our situation is knowing what God wants to do through us. God can’t do it through us, if we don’t’ believe God can get it to us. When God wants to get us to a blessing, it is not void of our accountability and responsibility. Ex-Bishop explains that he will tell the truth to folk, even those that he respects. This is probably why they like him. He tries to keep it real with all people. You got to understand something; God is not just blessing you just for you. Somebody’s blessing is hinged on us getting blessed. We are burdened, because we need to understand why God is trying to get the blessing to us.
    1. a. We have to have Proper perspective on relationships.
    2. Our Relationship with God has to be right. God is not going to bless us if our relationship isn’t right with him. Matthew 6:33 says 33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.- We are not seeking things now, we are God. If we lose things, we still got God. When the people in the text started losing things, they stopped coming to church. In proper relationship, we are not following God for the things; we are following him for who he is.
    3. Proper Perspective of Ownership -Once in relationship with God, we know who is owner of it. Psalm 24:1 says 1The earth is the LORD’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. – Now we stop talking about this is mine. Ex – “I can’t give our new suit to somebody. “ Last time we heard, our stuff wasn’t ours, it was the Lords. Know that the Lord gives and he takes away. Our house is God’s house and our car is God’s car. We don’t own any of it.
    4. We understand Proper Stewardship – We know that we are nothing but a manager of it. God saw enough in us to make us Manager over his stuff. He know that we will not let it shut down. God knows that you will do what he wants you to do with it. Luke 6:38 says 38Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. – We understand our stewardship. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says 7Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.- Nobody wants to go in to business and find that the server has an attitude and then you ask for the Manager just to find that they have one too. God says we look like this at offering time, “God what do you want?”
    5. We understand True Worship – If we understand ownership, relationship, and stewardship, then we understand that our giving is true worship. Proverbs 3:9 says 9Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: – It is worship when we give our tithes. Bishop explained that it use to bother him to hear Pastors say, “Now is the part of the service that we all can participate in”. What were we doing up until this point, just spectating? We must be in worship.
    6. God wants us to have the right kind of life. God wants us to feed the hungry and cloth the naked. Somebody is waiting on us to be blessed, because their blessing is tied to our being blessed. We recognize that God is ready to bless us to be a blessing to someone else. We come to speak prophetically over this house. If you understand ownership, relationship, and stewardship, God is about to turn your financial situation around. You ought to want to know what it is like to be able to write a check for your car and instead of financing it. You ought to want to be able to bless somebody else that is struggling with clothes. We won’t be broke all our life. We have chosen to be blessed to be a blessing.
    7. Why keep coming to church all the time and always be struggling? Bishop says he wants to see the whole house blessed. He can’t be blessed unless all the people that he Pastors is blessed.

III. Physical depression

Isaiah 58:8 says 8Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy reward.

  1. Verse 8 says once you move from playing church, something powerful happens.
  2. It is about your Heart – Your heart changes. In the scripture it says initially they sat in darkness. If you not in relationship, you are in darkness. When you go through form and fashion religion, it is just darkness. They thought maybe it was ok to walk around to be burdened down. They thought that maybe it is ok to be in church all our life and be struggling. Everyone isn’t going to be rich, but you ought to be able to pay your bills.
  3. If you in darkness, you have accepted a way of existing. Good morning, the light has come today in our life. Light is revelation. It represents knowledge. You see what you didn’t see before. God says you shall live.
  4. The devil’s been messing with our body, our mind, and our spirit. The devil don’t mind us coming to church as long as you are burdened down.
  5. Te devil attacks 3 areas:
    1. Our Head
    2. Our Heart
    3. Our Health
    4. Tell the devil, you are coming out of this! All this stuff has been going on in your head, then it messes with your heart from unmet expectations and broken promises, and now as a result, your health has been attacked. It is time for the real thing! There is enough power in you to take authority over the attack of the enemy and declare that you are coming out of this. Lay your hands on your head and say, “In the name of Jesus, I come against every demonic attack upon my mind. I speak the peace of God that surpasses all understanding! I declare that every thought that is not like God, be cast out now, every imagination be cast down now, in the name of Jesus!”
    5. Lay your hand on your Heart and declare, “In the name of Jesus, God everything that broke my heart shall be moved now! All the bitterness, all the pain, and all the tears, restore all the years that the locust have eaten up. Create within me a clean heart and renew within me a right sprit!”
    6. Lay your hands on your belly and declare, “Every sickness, every disease, and every curse be moved now from the crown of my head, to the sole of my feet. He was wounded for my transgressions and bruised for my iniquities and by his strips, I am healed!” Lift your hand up to the Lord and say, “I am coming out of this with my head up, with my hands up, giving God the glory!” Don’t wait until it is over. Praise him like it is already done. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. Our best days are ahead of us. The worst is over. We feel God healing cancer and shrinking tumors! We feel God turning financial situations around. Yokes are being destroyed, because the anointing is in this place! Take back everything the devil stole from you! Take your destiny, your job, and your finances all in the name of Jesus. No more going through the motions and the rituals. We need too much from God to play church anymore, because we need him to turn our situation around.

I’ll make it

Synopsis of Sermon 9/5/10

It is important that we wrap this concept around our spirit. The way you react when you are in the midst of chaotic circumstances speaks to your level of spiritual insight, determination, and maturity. When life pulls you in many different directions (and know that it will) you will discover the importance of having an anchor. There are people reading this that will testify that they are pulled in so many different directions, they don’t know if they are coming and going, but the truth is, they thank God that they have a anchor in God. We would have drifted away or lost our mind, but we are keenly aware of who is keeping us. If you keep on living you will find that there will be circumstances that will stretch you and your faith and you will find yourself contemplating things you ordinarily wouldn’t. You have to realize that even when life is beginning to cave in on you and things around you look uncertain, you will have to move to a place where you realize that your relationship is deeper than lip service. It is substantive and it is real! We give God glory for an authentic relationship. We recognize that though circumstances may change, God is immutable meaning that he is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The Psalmist reminds us that when life gets rough, we have the assurance that God will see us through. Our knowledge from God comes through our experiences with him. Those experiences give us a frame of reference to reflect upon. Through this we gain strength. Through these experiences, we have come to know a lot about God. Tucked away in this revelation is the thesis from which this sermon was built! The idea behind going through those experiences that we have gone through, what we find tucked away is a memory. Those that have gone through know that a memory is the most powerful thing a child of God can have. If you are able to remember what you have gone through before, then you know that if he was able to bring you through before, he can certainly do it know. You are filled with challenges laced with all kinds of uncertainties, but this message is to tell you that you will make it. You might feel like you are in a situation all by yourself, but know that you will make it. There is a reason we know this. The person that in the room beside you right now can tell they didn’t know they would make it, but they somehow did! You can make it!

There are some revelations in this Psalms that we are studying today. The first is, God responds to our cry.

I. Responds to our cry.

Psalm 20:1 1The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; -David recognizes the power of prayer. God answers us in the time of trouble. If you have the faith of prayer, God has the power to answer. Your relationship says that no matter what your situation is, God will hear you. God hears us in the day of trouble.

  1. One of the tricks of the enemy is to say the silence of God is the denial of God. God’s silence indicates that God is listening to us. God hears you. When you don’t know how you going to pay the bill, God hears you! Witnesses out of the bible will tell you. Ex – Hannah said she was barren, but she believed God to open her womb. She went to the temple of God and though they thought she was drunk, God heard her prayer. Daniel says he was on the lion’s menu. He began to pray and God turned their bellies into his pillow. Jonah will say, he was in the belly of the whale, but God heard him. David says he came back from Ziglag and found his camp had been destroyed. He fell on his knees and God heard his cry.
  2. God gives you some assistance. Psalm 20:2-4 says 2Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; 3Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah. 4Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel. – David discovers that he needs God’s help, but he recognizes how his help comes.
  3. How does this help come?
    1. Through Strength – We need God’s strength. What you need to know is, only God can give this. His strength is made perfect in our weakness. Ever woke up and just thought you couldn’t make to work anymore? You just felt you couldn’t take it another day and then the next thing you know; you were ironing your clothes. That was God’s strength.
    2. Through Seeds. – Going through a storm, it really isn’t the time to hold back your seed. You have to put seed into the ground. When you put seed in the ground, you know you have a harvest or blessing coming your way. When you have seed in the ground, when you pray, you can kind of remind God that this would be a good time for that blessing to be harvested into your life.
    3. Through respecting his Sovereignty – This means that we are comfortable with our situation and whatever happens, we are alright with it. If we get the job or not, we have decided that we are going to maintain our consistency with God. If God tells us no, we won’t stick our lip out. If he says no, we know he has a “yes” for us up the road. Can you give God glory for all of it; for everything that happens in our life?

II. Get a revelation of covenant

  1. God honors covenant and it is important to know that you are in him. When you do, you know what you have in him. Psalm 20:5 says 5We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions. – This scripture says we who know who he is, will praise him for his salvation. Because of what we know about salvation, based on our history him, we know he will never allow us into something that he doesn’t have the power to get us out of.
  2. While in it (the storm), we will set up banners of victory. Before we come out, we are going to walk and talk like we are going to come out. Ex – We know that God knew Israel was coming out of Egypt, long before he brought them out. We know that God knew the Hebrew boys were coming out before they did. Because of this, we will do like Paul and Silas when they prayed at midnight and God freed them. We give God glory while we are still in it. We don’t wait until we come out. Don’t feel sorry for us because we are in our situation, because we know we are coming out of it!
  3. Isn’t it too cocky to act like you coming out, before God tells us we are going to come out? No, because this applies to people that know who they are in Christ. Let’s see this closer. Psalm 20:6 says 6Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. – God’s got his hand on us! God saves his anointed! Some will testify they don’t know how they got out of it! All they know is that they are one of God’s anointed! David said he was anointed king and every since, he kept getting out of stuff. This is why we don’t worry how God puts his hand on us, as long as his hand is on us.

III. Rejoice in confidence

We have confidence, because we have learned where to put our trust. David says there is a distinction between those who know God and those who don’t. How is this? When trouble comes, it is about where you put your trust. Psalm 20:7 says 7Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. -You have to understand. David is giving an insight to his history. Remember we said one of the greatest things that a child of God could have is remembrance. You can’t have spiritual amnesia.

One of the most prolific stories in the bible was Israel’s release from Egypt. Ex- Egypt was one of the most advanced nations there was. They had chariots and horses. When God delivered Israel from Egypt, the Israelites came out on foot. When Pharaoh changed his mind about letting them go (Remember God made Pharaoh change his mind to show Israel he was a deliver), Pharaoh grabbed his resources like his chariot and his horses. In other words, he could get there faster than they could walk. Even though Israelites had the jump start, they could see that Pharaoh and his resources were coming in hot pursuit.

What do you do when the world looks like its resources will get you there quicker than God’s? God opened the sea and the Israelites walked across. When last foot of Israel got out of the parted sea and the first Egypt chariot wheel got in, God let the sea close on the Egyptians. To answer the question, go ahead and trust in chariots if you want (representative of the world’s resources and systems), but know you need to put your trust in God! Somebody reading is trusting their degree and their worldly hookup, but there will come a day, where you money can’t buy you out and your degree can’t think you out. We must trust in the name of the Lord.

Names are significant. There is something about a name in a world system. People put confidence names, because they think it brings on value and experience. When a name reaches a certain level, it goes for being a noun to verb. Ex- You will say Kobe done a Jordon.There are purses that you can buy and then there are Gucci. There are sneakers and then there are Niki. There is power in a name according to the world. The world attaches value to names. Know that there is a name is above every name. It don’t matter what we got on, because we got “The Name”. We have “His Name”! “His Name” brings value to everything around us. We know a name above every name. That name is Jesus. Whatever you go through, don’t forget to factor in the power of his name. Ex – It was David that stood before the giants. He told Goliath to come with his weapons of war, because he came in the name of the Lord. Our deliverance and our breakthrough is in “His Name”. Can you give him glory for his name?

There is some word you receive and you have to let it marinate to understand it. We may ask what God’s name did for us. Verse 8 tells us that we are risen. Psalm 20:8 says 8They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. – People want to know. They know that we went through what they went though. We experienced what they experienced. They want to know how in the world we bounced back. How did you get up from what you went through? Well the answer is it was because of “that name”. We didn’t lose our mind, but we are still standing. He kept us after all we went through. We should have been talking to ourselves and walking the street because of the stuff we went through, but thank God, we are still here.

Angels and demons Part 1

The Spirit world vs. the Physical World

Synopsis of Bible Study 9/15/10

Foundation:

Scripture reveals the existence of two worlds. They are the Spiritual World and Physical World. Now we will refer to the Physical World as the Natural World. Much of what we call miracles or strange phenonemums can be explained when we understand the relation of the spirit world to the physical world. Many people are unaware of the fact that there are angels and demons existing in the spirit world and that they are actively concerned about the affairs of our lives in the physical world.  Why you are going on through your day, there is a spirit world full of angels and demons. Often, there is a war going on over your head. There are people that doubt that the spirit world exists and what it can do. The Sadducees denied and doubted the resurrection of Christ. Matthew 22:23 says 23The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him. Note that there are around 300 references found in the scriptures concerning angels and demons and their existence.

I. There is a difference between the Physical and Spiritual World

  1. There is a difference between the physical and spiritual world, just like there is a difference between animal life and plant life. The difference between the plant and animal life is that animals have conscious life. The difference between animal life and human life is that we have a living soul which dwells a spirit. In you dwells a soul that is eternal and we have the spirit of God that breaths into us life. We have the ruach of God or the breath of God inside of us. God blew himself into us and as a result we have a life.
  2. Because man is a living soul, the only way to relate to the spirit world is by the spirit. Your carnal nature can never relate to the spirit world. It will never make sense to you in the natural.
  3. There are two different laws that govern this world.
    1. There is a law of magnetism that counters magnetization in the physical world. The law of magnetism in the natural world counteracts the law of gravitation. The law of gravitation says, if you drop something, it is going to fall. The law of magnetism says it can prevent the fall. These two laws counter each other.
    2. In the spirit world there is a law of resurrection that counters the law of death. What you got to do is learn how to interpret your reality in the natural from a spiritual perspective. As a spiritual person, you can’t interpret your reality with natural laws. We must interpret our reality by applying spiritual laws to our natural situation.

                                          i.    Often what we call a miracle is a person’s inability to acquaint with the law. Ex– You can have a Pagan person living in the boondocks and if they were given a radio even during this time of technology, they might think it was miracle. It isn’t a miracle; they just haven’t been acquainted with certain laws meaning in this case, they have never seen a radio.

  1. On one occasion Jesus hears that Lazarus is sick. Jesus purposely allows him pass away. He tells the disciples that Lazarus was sleep. He tells them that he wanted to go and awake Lazarus from his sleep. The disciples are interpreting according to natural laws (him being sleep). Jesus was referring to his death when he told them this. He finally had to come straight out and say he was dead. Mary and Martha had an attitude when Jesus got there, because they are interrupting reality with natural laws. They said he has been dead for 4days. Jesus says he comes to apply a spiritual law to natural situation. Remember that Jesus is the resurrection. Those who are spiritual operate with spiritual laws. If you don’t, the natural laws will take over. Ex-Spiritually, you see tithing as a means to help you out of your situation, even if it looks like you don’t have enough money to do so. In the natural, you see that you have more bills than money coming in. We have to learn to bring the laws down. There are laws in the spiritual world that should supersede laws down here. Ex–
  2. Thou kingdom come thou will be done on earth as it is in heaven. When you are spiritual, you understand things natural people don’t understand. Everything you live by is spiritual and you can’t explain to carnal people what you are doing. Ex– In the natural, when you have 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread and there are 5000 people to feed, somebody’s not going to eat.

 

II. The spirit world was created just like the natural world

  1. All things other than the God Head were created. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost were not created
  2. The Angelic Host, Celestial beings, Angelic beings, and even devils have a distinct order.
  3. 3.      The angelic hosts sung praises to God when he created the earth. When Job was wrestling with why God would let this stuff happen to him, God says in Job 38:4-7 4Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. 5Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? 6Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; 7When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? – This suggests that the celestial hosts were singing praises to God while the earth was being created.
  4. When were angels created?
    1. The Angels were created before creation.
    2. Angelic host were created above man. Hebrews 2:6-9 says 6But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him? 7Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: 8Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.9But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. – We are under the angels.
    3. What is the form of the angels?
      1. The angelic host is a spiritual order of beings. 1 Corinthians 15:40-43 says 40There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. 42So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: – You and I are sown in the earth at death just like a seed. We are sown in corruption here, but awaken in incorruption there. We are sown in dishonor here, but we wake up in glory. We are sown in weakness, but awaken in strength. We are sown one way and awaken another.
      2. You have a natural body and spirit body. 1 Corinthians 15:44 says 44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. – There is natural world and a spirit world. We try to approach the spirit world with our natural body. We expect the spirit world to bless our natural body, but the sprit is after the sprit. You look in the mirror and say it is you, but it really isn’t you. You are the person behind what you see. No matter how fine you think you are, there is a great equalizer. One day a preacher will say earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dirt to dirt over you. We are nothing more than well put together dirt, but this is not who we are. We are the spirit. People who are spiritual see your spirit. The reason you keep struggling is you keep chasing the natural. Ex – We hook up with somebody, because in the natural, we think they look good. When they start changing, we look for someone else that looks good. If you are spiritually connected, no matter how the person you hooked up with changes, you remain connected to who they are. The laws of this world say feed and dress your natural. Spiritual people go back to Adam. Adam said you are bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh. In other words, he saw what was on the outside first.
      3. Number of angels
        1. They are innumerable. Hebrews 12:22 says  22But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
        2. John tried to count them once. In Revelation 5:11 it says 11And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
        3. Do angels have wings?
          1. The answer is yes.

 

III. Classes and ranks of the spirit world

  1. Angel means messenger. It designates an office, not a person.
  2. Types of Holy Angels
    1. Seraphim – Celestial being having 3 pairs of wings. They were signers calling attention to the holiness of God Isaiah 6:1-8 says 1In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 2Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 3And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. 4And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. 5Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. 6Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: 7And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. 8Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
    2. Cherubim – They have 2 pr wings, 4 faces. They were guardians of the throne.  Genesis 3:24 says 24So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. – A cherubim was placed at the entrance of the Garden of Eden. Ezekiel 1:4-25 says 4And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire. 5Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. 6And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings. 7And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass. 8And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings. 9Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward. 10As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle. 11Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies. 12And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went. 13As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning. 14And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning. 15Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces. 16The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel. 17When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went. 18As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four. 19And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up. 20Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels. 21When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels. 22And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.  23And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies. 24And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings. 25And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.
    3. Celestial Princes
      1. Lucifer -Satan, the son of morning. He was the most exalted of the angelic beings by creation and appointment. Lucifer didn’t start as the Devil, but he becomes the Devil. Ezekiel 28:12-13 says 12Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. 13Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. – He had all of these precious stones that covered his body. He had tabrets like pipes inside his body so when he talked, it came out musically. He was made for music. Music comes from the word amusement. This is why the devils main attack is through our music. We use music for amusement. Ezekiel 28:14-15 says 14Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. – God created Lucifer to be an angel until iniquity was found in him. Ezekiel 28:16 says 16By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. – God said he wasn’t having it. Ezekiel 28:17 says 17Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. – God cast Lucifer out of heaven.

Then Isaiah takes over with the story:  

Isaiah 14:12-13 says 12How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:Satan thought he would fill heaven with sin. Isaiah 14:14 says 14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. – Satan had begun to question God receiving all the glory. Isaiah 14:15-17 says 15Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 16They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;  17That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? – Lucifer/Satan was the angel that brought hell into the earth realm. He was originally over the music ministry in heaven, but he got prideful.

  1. Michael – This name means one who is like God. He is the only arch angel listed in scripture. Daniel 10:13 says 13But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Daniel 12:1 says 1And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
  2. Gabriel – Messenger for Lord. Daniel 8:16 says 16And I heard a man’s voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision., Daniel 9:21-27 says 21Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. 22And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding. 23At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision. 24Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.25Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. 26And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.  27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. – When God comes back, Gabriel will make the announcement. Jesus is going to come back based on spiritual laws. He left here on spiritual laws and will return the same way. Ex- One disciple said he would not believe Jesus died and rose until he saw the nail prints in his hand. When Jesus left, he left ascending. He defied the natural law of gravity. An angel says the same way you saw him leave, he is coming back. When you live spiritually, you live expecting him to come back breaking natural laws.
  3. Ministering spirits.
    1. God will send angels to minster to you. Hebrews 1:14 says 14Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
    2. Angels even came to minister to Jesus. Matthew 4:11 says 11Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him. -Often in great moments of crises, God will send ministering angels to you. It is time when you can’t really hear anything or anybody else. God will send a ministering spirit to remind you that he has your back.
    3. Satanic Kingdom
      1. Lucifer – Has many names. Adversary, prince of power of the air, the devil, wicked one, accuser, dragon, serpent, and etc… He has the many names, but he is the Devil.
      2. Fallen angels- 2 Peter 2:4 says 4For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; – When Lucifer had sinned, he convinced a 3rd of the angels to sin with him. They were cast down to the earth with Lucifer and they became demons. Demons will attack you in your sleep and in your dreams. You need to know when they are coming at you when you are unaware.
      3. 4 classes of demons and devils

Ephesians 6:12 says 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

  1. Principalities – Have to do with kingdoms.  Jeremiah 13:18 says 8Say unto the king and to the queen, Humble yourselves, sit down: for your principalities shall come down, even the crown of your glory.-This is a quest for dominion or authority. Satan is the god of this world who wants to set up dominion of this world or certain areas of your life. Ex-You often wonder why the demons are taking over this part of your life or neighborhood. It is because they want dominion over that certain area. The devil is after principalities. Even thought the prince has dominion or authority in this real, he is still under the dominion of the King our God. Colossians 2:9-10 9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: – You need to understand, the devil wants you to think he is in control, but God is really in control. Job will tell you if you need a witness. God gave Satan permission to mess with Job, but he could not mess with his soul.
  2. Powers – These are extensions of the princes.  Luke 10:18-19 says 18And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. 19Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. – Jesus was there when Satan got put out of heaven. And he says he saw Satan fall from heaven like lighting. In verse 19, he says he gave them power. Ex- Lighting is a power source like electricity. It can be interrupted like NES does, but still it is powerful. Jesus is saying you have enough power to interrupt that power. The angels of God want to minister to you from the inside out. They want to come at your spirit and work its way out so you would exude joy and confidence. Demons want to attack you from the outside in. This is why the word says greater is he that lives within you than he who is in the world. You have the power inside of you to interrupt things. If you don’t know you have this power, this is how you open yourself up to demonic possession
  3. Rulers of darkness – They are dedicated to ignorance. What the devil wants to do is prevent knowledge and revelation. 2 Corinthians 4:6 says 6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.-It is knowledge that brings us out of the darkness. Darkness represents ignorance. It represents not being in the know. If Satan can keep you in the darkness, you will miss the revelation. Without revelation, you will believe you will not have anything or be anything. Without revelation, you will sleep with and tip out with anyone.  When you go through some of your most painful moments; the demons will say to you, “Stay home. You don’t need to go to church today. You can deal with this yourself. ” Satan knows if you come and get revelation, you may end up realizing that all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord and are called according to his purpose. This is why the Sunday you miss is often turns out to be the Sunday you should have been there to get the word you need. Don’t let nothing stop you from getting that revelation. Get a tape, a DVD, a Mt Zion Anywhere. Whatever it takes.
  4. Spiritual wickedness in high places – Forces that major in the realms of the spiritual and attack your spiritual life. Spiritual wickedness in high places suggest that the greater you altitude, the more the game changes. The more you try to do good, the more the devil changes his attack. Paul says when I would do good, evil is on every hand.

He will attack:  

  1. Your music, Ephesians 5:19 says   19Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; – We are supposed to be singing hymns and spiritual songs.
  2. He attacks God’s will for your life. Colossians 1:9 says 9For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
  3. He will attack your love for the word.

People of God, there is an organized spirit world out there. We are taking your though boot camp these next 6wks, so you can recognize that all the cursing and stuff you are doing to your enemy is not how you deal with them. We are going to teach the power of intercession, praying in the Holy Ghost, learning the power of worship bringing the Kingdom of God into your situation. When you show up, demons ought to tremble.
