All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

So in other words, if you do not know any scripture, then you have chosen to go into battle “unarmed”. You have chosen to make yourself vulnerable to the attacks of your enemies, whether they be “spiritual or carnal”.

In addition, you have made a conscious decision to go through life without a road map for this scripture says that scripture is useful for “teaching and correcting” as well. How wise is it to go on a journey without a map or a GPS?

Finally, without direction, you can’t tell what’s “wrong or right”. Some people can tell you something in such a way it seems like it is right, when in actuality, it is wrong. How can you rebuke something, when you don’t know what’s wrong or right? How can you even tell if you are on the right path or not if you don’t know what God’s direction is for his faithful believers?

Today, make a conscious decision to “take in more scripture” so that you might be armed for battle, have direction for your journey, and be able to distinguish between what is right and what is wrong.
